Integrated Transport Strategy of the Ljubljana Urban Region as an example of good practice at the sixth European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP 2019)
The sixth European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP) took place in Groningen (Netherlands) on 17 and 18 June 2019. The focuses of the conference were the exchange of experiences and the updating of guidelines for the preparation of local and regional integrated transport strategies.
During the section entitled “Multi-level governance and integrated planning at the regional scale”, a representative of the RRA LUR presented the principal results, selected measures and experiences deriving from the preparation of the Integrated Transport Strategy of the Ljubljana Urban Region. The latter is an innovative strategic document that takes as its starting point the actual needs of the region as a whole and responds to concrete challenges in the field of sustainable mobility.
