TERRAIN Project Kicks Off in Greece: A Milestone for Sustainable Mobility in the Adriatic-Ionian Region

  • 15. 11. 2024

The TERRAIN project officially launched with a two-day meeting held on November 12-13, 2024, in Thessaloniki, Greece. Hosted by the lead partner CERTH/HIT, the event brought together project partners from across the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region to set new foundations for transforming urban and regional mobility.

On the first day, the project’s objectives, activities, and milestones were presented, as well as the exciting concept of »living labs« where various sustainable mobility solutions will be tested through individual pilot projects. Partners introduced areas of expertise, laying the groundwork for further collaboration. We also discussed opportunities for integrating various solutions towards achieving carbon-neutral mobility and upcoming actions in different cities and regions.

The second day focused on project management and the creation of an action plan. The meeting concluded with a study visit to the CERTH/HIT transport laboratories, where participants had the chance to explore cutting-edge mobility technologies in situ.

RRA LUR will act as a mentor for smart mobility at an international level.

This collaborative project will contribute to the transition toward greener and more sustainable cities and regions across Adriatic-Ionian region.
