Slovenia in the Context of Sustainable Bioenergy – Challenges and Opportunities in Light of the DIVERSE Project – ESG 198 – Zelena Slovenija
The article is based on the results of a PESTLE analysis conducted within the framework of the European DIVERSE project (Interreg Alpine Space), which examines various aspects of sustainable biomass use in the Alpine region. The analysis highlights key political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal factors affecting the development of the sector in Slovenia.
The article also sheds light on opportunities to strengthen sustainable bioenergy, particularly in connection with regional development, the involvement of local communities, and the use of innovative technologies. At the same time, it draws attention to challenges such as fragmented regulation, limited use of data, and the need for greater policy alignment.
