Project DiversE gained momentum following the kick-off meeting
In the last days of October, we successfully boosted project activities for DiversE. Together with nine project partners from Slovenia, Italy, France, Austria, and Germany, we laid solid foundations for the development of project activities and set the groundwork for sustainable bioenergy directions in the Alpine region.
The DiversE project kick-off meeting took place on October 29 and 30 in Munich. On the first day, we outlined the project’s objectives, focusing on biodiversity, eco-friendly bioenergy practices, and integrated bioenergy strategies. Various exercises aimed at team-building, along with practical workshops, encouraged meaningful discussions on piloting sustainable solutions and achieving impactful project results. At the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RRA LUR), we will be conceptualizing and leading project activities related to pilot locations.
On the second day, we visited SYPOX, a pioneering startup that converts biogas into hydrogen with twice the efficiency and significantly lower costs than traditional methods. This study visit highlighted the potential of biological technologies in the energy transition and provided valuable insights into the alignment of the DiversE project with EU sustainability goals.
