CulturalRoad General Assembly in Barcelona: Strengthening Collaboration and Innovation
The CulturalRoad consortium gathered in Barcelona on 22 and 23 January for its first General Assembly, hosted by project partners FICOSA, CARNET, and UPC. The two-day meeting provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions, knowledge exchange, and exploration of technological solutions to drive the project forward.
The first day focused on the impact of cultural and geographical diversity on the deployment of Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM). Partners engaged in discussions on the CulturalRoad Five-Pointed Star Rating System, which assesses mobility equity based on five key pillars: safety, inclusivity, network efficiency, user acceptance, and psychological factors. During a visit to FICOSA’s facilities, participants learned about the company’s latest technological developments, including advanced pedestrian detection algorithms and predictive mobility models designed to enhance safety and adaptability in automated mobility.
The second day was dedicated to strategic project management, communication, knowledge transfer, and planning future activities. The consortium also welcomed representatives from the Diversify-CCAM project to explore synergies and opportunities for joint activities in shaping inclusive automated mobility.
Looking ahead, the consortium is preparing for the CulturalRoad Multi-Stakeholder Launch Workshop, scheduled for March 2025, where key project methodologies and expected outcomes will be introduced to a broader audience.
