CINEMA invitation – “POP-UP SHOP WINDOW”
This is a kind invitation to be a part of the activity “POP-UP SHOP WINDOW” for the revitalization of the city center of Kamnik.
Five entrepreneurs will present themselves in five shop windows in September 2022 (for the period of one month), and the presentation of shop windows will be designed by five selected designers.
By reviving shop windows and connecting entrepreneurs and designers, we want to draw the citizens’ attention to the potential of the picturesque historic city center of Kamnik, and above all to encourage shop owners to work more closely with the local community for the revitalization of the empty floorspaces. At the same time, the activity represents an important testing ground for tools developed within the CINEMA project and a unique opportunity for the promotion of the entrepreneurs, as we are planning many media activities in September, such as an opening event, and publishing stories, press releases, etc.
The applicants can be established or start-up companies that are part of the Kamnik business community or began their entrepreneurial path in Kamnik, as well as cooperatives, non-profit organizations, individuals, and companies from all across the EU.
The jury will confirm five companies according to the order of applications. The expert commission will consist of a representative of the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region / RRA LUR (the contracting authority), Turizem Kamnik, and the Cooperative KIKštarter (external expert).
The selected companies or their representatives may not be related to the employees of the contracting authority (RRA LUR) and/or the external expert (KIKštarter Cooperative).

The call will be open until 12:00 noon on Monday 25th April 2022 (the electronic application form must be registered in the system by 12:00 noon).
Timeline:
1. Establishing contact between entrepreneurs and designers (entrepreneurs “borrow” their products and files with graphic materials/logo and other visual materials, if available)
June 20th till 24th 2022
2. Realization of shop windows ideas (creatives/architects/designers will equip the shop windows)
September 11th till 13th, 2022
3. Opening event/Shop window walk
September 14th, 2022
4. Dismantling of shop windows (creatives/architects/designers will change the shop windows back to their original state.).
October 17th till 21st, 2022
