Action plan of the PERFECT project for the promotion of green infrastructure
An action plan for the Ljubljana Urban Region has been prepared within the PERFECT project, with the help of which we hope to have a positive influence on strategic investments in green infrastructure in the LUR (improve the implementation of regional development policies in the field of the protection and development of natural heritage).
The action plan focuses on two key measures that are essential for the achievement of the objectives set, including the timetable for their implementation, key stakeholders, estimates of costs and sources of funding. The two measures are the drafting of the Strategy for the protection and development of green infrastructure in the Ljubljana Urban Region (also known as the LUR Green Infrastructure Strategy) and the inclusion of green infrastructure in policy programmes.
The LUR Green Infrastructure Strategy was completed in December 2019, while activities designed to include green infrastructure in policy programmes will be carried out in 2020 and 2021. These will be aimed above all at raising the awareness of policymakers at the national level, changing the mentality of local decision-makers and educating municipal administrations.
